Miss Lemon! formerly Lucky Bees...

Here is a woman who has participated in Strange Folk Fest! See the STRANGE FOLK Group HERE. Anyhoo...She does a nice variation of items. She makes goodies like brooches, hair pins, other jewelry, embellished skirts, small bags, and I think , a LOT more! She is a woman of many talents. She is also participating and helping out a lot with a cool Plush Art Show in St. Louis at a fun book store!
LUCKY BEES BAZAAR Here<---Check it out too! What a nice idea for a Farmers Market Website. Why not try one out for an event or organization in your area. If you enjoy doing this type of activity, and you are computer literate, you may be of more help than you ever imagined!

Frangine's Bags and Bracelets on Flickr

This woman has been posting so many images in my TAG YOUR BAG group, and I have only just now discovered how incredible her items are and also her amazing WEBSITE too! You really must check it out. It gave me a huge smile on my face too! She is quite amazing. On top of all that, she tickled my fancy with her craft fair images. She also seems to either own a boutique, or use her studio space as a walk in boutique, or something very similar. She works so very hard, so please support her and her amazing company! Here she is...

Phat Sheep Textiles

I have reallhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gify enjoyed the textile prints that this lady produces for a while now. I found her whilst searching for sewn fabric coasters, see my FLICKR GROUP HERE...
Anyhoo! I am very happy to say that she also does craft fairs. She has these nice, open wooden shelves in her display that are very attractive. It appears that they break down for much easier transport too! That is the hardest part of any display unless you have a truck or SUV, which I do not!
See more of these wonderfully whimsical prints on her FLICKR page! See what else she is up to here on her BLOG.

TRADE SHOW /TRADE FAIR Displays

Today, as promised, Craft Friendly takes setup to a whole new level. Trade Shows are highly professional shows, some are open to the public, some are not. At a lot of these trade shows, people do not sell their goods, just their ideas. I believe that wholesale orders are often made at these shows too. Below are a few Show types or Event names that are well-known trade shows. I will also include some images of trade fair/ trade show display ideas so you can see how the other half do it. Click on teh hilighted words to link to Specific Shows. They often have vendors "selling and licensing art and design". There is nothing to say that your own setup can be similar to some of these images. Take notes on what appeals to you! You may also want to draw out a floorplan on some grid paper before your next show. I really hope this helps.

Joel Dewberry

Today, I am featuring a very famous textile designer. He began as a graphic designer, so there is still hope for me! It is my ultimate dream to design textiles, and Joel Dewberry seems to know exactly what people are willing to drool over.
Here are some images from a Trade Show, most likely a quilt show/textile show/product design show, although the exact location is unknown at this time. Take a peek into Joel's life and upcoming goodies HERE! And the Flickr Group for some incredible inspirations HERE.

Little Chook

So, I found this cool person for her setup at the Brixton Craft Market. She is using very smart techniques in her amazing prints on hankeys and cloth napkins. Her packaging is also very nice and modern. She uses an cool old suitcase for napkin display too!
Her greeting cards are nice too! Oh yea, Pillows did I mention pillows? I really like everything about her work!
See her on Flickr HERE.

I have a large show in Murphysboro, IL called APPLE FEST on Sept 12-14 too! See you there!

This cool lady does greeting cards, tags, and other paper goods with the letterpress technique. I know you have to have quite a complex setup and studio to even think about doing the technique. She seems to do some of teh larger craft shows, and has very cute items and a nice setup!!

Carol Grilo • FofysFactory

This woman really knows how to use color to her advantage! She is the person who inspired me to use felt and hand embroider with it. And I had such luck with that technique. For some reason, it has taken me this blog to feature her and her awesome setup!! Here she is, and you can see her on Flickr
HERE.
